As a Carrier Sales Coordinator, you will be involved in the daily communication with Customer LC’s and carriers to procure carriers at acceptable margins to meet customer load and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

 

 

 

  • Manage and update loads in proprietary transportation management system
  • Make daily calls to carriers to cover available loads
  • Maximize margins for each load through negotiation and understanding of the market
  • Resolve any load/ unloading issues with carrier and update Customer LC’s
  • Work with brokerage systems within 48 hours of ship date to help cover loads
  • Develop/ source carrier base utilizing various tools and systems
  • Solicit rates/ bids from carriers
  • Talk to drivers/ dispatchers and Customer LC’s constantly for updates, directions, etc.
  • Cover all loads per customer to meet requirements
  • Stay within set carrier pay guidelines
  • Utilize quality and satisfactory carriers per DOT and company requirements
  • Set load alarms strategically to minimize any missed delivery/ load times
  • Immediately enter status updates in system to show date/time of when truck was booked on a load
